Blinkit Launches Bistro App; Set to Rival Zepto Cafe, Swiggy Bolt

Quick-commerce service provider Blinkit launched a new food delivery app called Bistro. The app promises to provide “snacks, meals and beverages” in under 10 minutes.

Foraying in the quick food delivery space, the app is set to take on Zepto’s upcoming Zepto Cafe app.

Zepto Cafe vs Bistro: Competitive Analysis

Released on December 6 on Google Play Store, Bistro consists of “strategically located” kitchens, which includes cloud kitchens — and “highly optimised processes”. This is done to ensure that food is delivered within the stipulated time.

On the other hand, Zepto Cafe will rely on physical outlets for its operations. As per Zepto CEO Aadit Palicha more than 100 cafes will open each month.

Growth Prospects

As per reports, Zepto Cafe attracts close to 30,000 orders, while 5% of Swiggy’s orders comes from Bolt. Notably, Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal and Swiggy CEO Sriharsha Majety look at the 10-minute food delivery business as the “next growth frontier”. Previously, Zomato shut its 10-minute food delivery service Zomato Instant.
